Aragon - After a meeting in Aragon, the Grand Prix committee finally agreed to establish several new regulations for the MotoGP. Related regulatory changes that limit the fuel pressure for next season and also additional training sessions in Estroil and Valencia this season.
Here's the official statement issued by the commission as reported by Crash.net Grandprix on Friday (24/09/2010):
Changes in regulations surrounding the fuel pressure limits for the MotoGP class:
1. Required to use the official fuel pressure regulator-approved, are determined by the Director Technician. Regulators must be paired with a downstream official fuel pump so that the maximum fuel pressure to injectors no more than 10 bars.
Official Manufacturing regulator may supply regulator with low pressure setting and / or flow rate is higher, as demand for the MotoGP team, while not reaching 10 bar at 50 liters / hour.
2. Additional regulators may be used in conjunction with the official regulators to reduce and regulate the fuel pressure. However, it is not allowed to use the tools and strategies that could increase pressure on the fuel injector above 10 bar.
3. Pressure regulators approved will be sealed, marked and certified by regulators manufacturing, and inspected and / or written off for testing at any time by the Director of the technician.
4. The team must provide a schematic diagram of fuel system including the location of the fuel pressure regulator when requested by the Director of the technicians.
5. In the measurement of fuel pressure and flow rate produced by regulators, manufacturers specified tolerance limits that will be considered an official regulator.
